Concealers when done right, can be as close to magic as us humans can get, and let me tell you, this one I’m gonna talk about, puts me right into the halls of Hogwarts.
Covering dark circles after you stay up all night studying (or partying), covering pimples, from those super tricky whiteheads to the crusted, busted red cysts of doom, improving weird texture issues, cutting a crease, edging lips or brows and highlighting, this baddie can do it all.
Oh and it looks perfect no matter how you apply, fingers, sponge, brushes, AND it has cute packaging and a sleek design that’ll make you proud to take it out of your makeup bag and it show off.
I’m talking about Nars Soft Matte Complete Concealer. (Aka your ticket to becoming a Wizard, Harry).
If you’re searching for a new concealer, or just want a bit of magic in your life…please run to the nearest makeup store, or your computer/technological purchasing device of choice and make this yours.
The thing I love most about this and what makes it stand out from other hit concealers, looking at you Shape Tape…is how incredibly non-cakey and smooth this is! You seriously have to try it to believe it. It’s also super buildable and a little goes a long way!
I was used to slathering on a ton of Shape Tape, or Born This Way Concealers and others that are similar, so when I first got this one, I was a little too heavy handed and it was just way too much, so I set it down. But then, fate (magic?) have it, I was watching Nikkietutorials and she was talking about how amazing it is, and let’s just say when Nikkie speaks highly of something, you go buy it. You just do. Those are the rules.
So I tried it out again, with a much lighter hand and low and behold…pure magic. Perfect coverage (as in it covers whatever is going on with your skin, seriously, anything, and it makes your skin look plastic-or as close as it can get to actual doll-like perfection). It’s also super easy to blend and I love that. Concealer can be so tricky and for those days when you’re in a hurry or just don’t want to spend an extra 30 minutes dedicated to blending out your face…Nars Soft Matte is your girl.
Also, setting. So easy. If you wanna bake, it’ll look fab. If you want just the slightest hint of setting powder, it’ll look amazing. You wanna not set at all, it’ll still look awesome.
Details: I’m going for the big guns-10/10. That’s right. It’s a Holy Grail. Enough said.
It has 16 shades and it’ll cost you $30 at Sephora. (Also available elsewhere).
What are you waiting for?!
