Confession: I bought this new highlighter solely for the skull-shaped bottle. It’s just so freaking cool. I didn’t even care if the highlighter was bust, I had to have that skull in my collection.
Thankfully, the highlighter is as good as the skull bottle is cool.
The liquid highlighter by Makeup Revolution is this gorgeous slightly cool-toned white-base with a warmer pink and hint of purple iridescence. It looks absolutely beautiful on the skin, giving you this ethereal candlelit effect. It’s not blinding and glittery by any means. It’s more of a natural, soft-glowy type of highlight.
It photographs beautifully, as it’s not too shimmery or metallic, and it also looks great in person under all types of lighting. It also looks gorgeous on the cupids bow and inner corners of the eye, as well as the brow bone.
The other thing I love about this highlighter is how easy it is to apply, all you need are your fingers. Just put a tiny drop on a fingertip and pat away. No sponge or brush necessary.
And one more thing before we part, the highlighter wears really well. It won’t make you look greasy at all. (And this is coming from someone with notoriously oily skin). The bottle may be kind of gimmicky (personally I think it’s super cool), but the product is no joke. It’ll give you the perfect highlight, that gorgeous candlelit natural glow, with a hint of an iridescent twist to take it to the next level.
