Colourpop’s Lilac You a Lot Eyeshadow Palette Is Everything

The quality of Colourpop's new Lilac eyeshadow palette is as superb as it gets. If you didn't know it was Colourpop, you'd think it was some super high-end brand. The quality is just sublime. (In fact, it's actually higher quality than many high-end palettes).

What makes it so good? The shadows are intensely pigmented and super-rich, especially the mattes, but they are also easy to blend out. If you know makeup, you know how hard it is to find a palette that does both: blendability and intense pigmentation. You either get chalky shadows that don't give enough color payoff, or you get a super intense color that won't blend and turns out looking smudgy and uneven. Finding a shadow that does excellent pigmentation and is still blendable is a challenge. However, it is nigh impossible to find an eyeshadow that's pigmented, blendable, and at a reasonable price point.

So my hat's off to you, Colourpop. I thank you for giving us an eyeshadow that truly does it all while still being wallet-friendly.

The Lilac palette has nine beautiful shades that perfectly complement each other, making it easy to create beautiful color stories on your lids. This palette is fantastic alone, and it also blends perfectly into different palettes if you are looking for a gorgeous pop of Lilac color.

The eyeshadows are made from Pressed Powder Shadow which means that they are highly pigmented shades that apply very evenly and feel velvety soft and silky on your lids. They also have great, long-lasting power. I have super oily lids, so I usually have to use an eyeshadow primer, but I was able to get hours worth of wear from these shadows even without priming first.

The palette comes with shadows that vary in finishes, including mattes, metallics, and pressed pigments. My favorite shade is Ghostin', which is a fabulous vibrant pinky lilac. It looks incredible on its own, for a super cool monochromatic look. I love combining this beautiful color with a heavy-handed application of mascara to really make my eyes pop. I also adore the shade Iffy; it's a super intense cool-toned purple that looks GORG alone or mixed with other more neutral shades. This purple is seriously so, so good. It's hard to find a really intense cool-toned purple. So many are chalky and hard to apply. This one is pigmented as hell, gives you crazy color payoff, yet it's easy as pie to blend out. I love all the shades in this palette and find myself reaching for it even when I'm going for a neutral shadow look for when I want a hint or pop of color.

The Lilac palette is an excellent choice for makeup users who go for more neutral and natural eyeshadow looks who are maybe looking to dabble into colourful shades or are just looking for a fun pop of color to intensify their look. And of course, it's amazing for makeup connoisseurs who love using bright colors on the regular. These users will love how easy these intense colors are to blend out and how long-wearing they are.

So if you're looking for high quality, long-wearing, high-end gorgeousness, at a low cost, the Lilac palette is screaming your name. Answer the call and give your lids the eyeshadow they deserve.
