Review: Butter Bronzer by Physicians Formula

They don’t call it Butter Bronzer for nothing. This thing really blends like butta. You can literally do no wrong with this product (and if by some miracle you do, I promise, it’ll blend out like a charm and still look amazing).

Physicians Butter Bronzer is perfect for the seasoned makeup artiste and the total beginner alike. It has a beautiful soft matte texture with a very subtle sheen. It looks extremely natural like you just got back from a weekend in Hawaii and can be built up to a more bronzed look of say, a full week in Hawaii.

It stays on the skin and looks amazing all day, even with my super oily skin! Oh and I’m forgetting the best part, it smells like coconuts! It makes you feel like you’re on a tropical island and someone just bought a fresh coconut to you as you lounge in your private infinity pool and they open it up and out comes this amazing bronzer. It’s unreal.

I think the smell is part of what hooked me on it tbh, I loved the shade and blendability and how it looked on my skin, but when I first bought it, I was in the midst of trying several different bronzers and was trying to go with a different one each time I put on makeup, but because of it’s incredible scent I just kept reaching for it.

The other thing I love is how you can use it for a light contour. That’s right, it’s just that natural looking. The other contour related thing you can do with it that I love is helping blend out a more intense contour. I usually go with something a hint darker with a bit of a grey tone, to create a shadow like an effect that’s perfect for contouring in a natural way, and then after that, I’ll go in with the Butter Bronzer to just help blend it out and make it look even more natural.

So if you’re in the mood for a new bronzer and/or natural contour product, I highly suggest this beauty. I got mine from Ulta and then repurchased at Target (aka heaven on earth, aka my home away from home).

Here are the details:

It comes in four shades, I got the shade “Bronzer” which is the lightest and I find it does a great job bronzing out my cool to neutral fair-light skin.

The price varies depending upon the store you go to. At Target it’s $7.99 (At Ulta it’s$14.99).

My grade: 10/10 Would definitely repurchase and tell/force all my friends to buy it.
